Using Flower Remedies for Trauma Recovery

As a child, I experienced traumatic events that left me struggling with their after-effects for years. During my teenage years, I turned to unhealthy relationships and self-destructive behaviors, such as drug abuse and neglecting my own well-being, in an attempt to cope with the pain. Every day was a struggle and I felt empty and low. However, this difficult time also proved to be a turning point in my life. One night, while partying in Greenwich Village, I stumbled upon a book called “Heal Thyself” by Edward Bach. The idea that I had the power to heal myself emotionally resonated with me and gave me hope. It was at that moment that I began my journey towards recovery and began exploring the art of flower therapy and using flower remedies as a means of healing from my childhood trauma.

My Personal Journey

When asked about my personal journey and the flowers that supported me, there were many. One stands out in particular. During my healing journey, I discovered that fear was at the root of many of my challenges. I was afraid to be seen, to get close to others, and even to connect with myself. One flower that was particularly helpful for me was Mimulus. With its support and using flower remedies, I was able to feel safe and secure. It allowed me to become more confident and brave as I worked to heal my childhood wounds.

It’s important to note that trauma is a normal part of life. We all experience it in different ways. Whether it’s the trauma of being born, or other difficult experiences we encounter.
