Flower Essence Society Introduces Patricia Kaminski:  What are you passionate about?

Making our planet better one step at a time, especially through the healing forces of Nature and her plants.

Who has most influenced your personal growth? How?

Rudolf Steiner’s stupendous achievement as a Modern initiate – with deep insights into the human soul and the profound evolution of the Cosmos and our human role in it.

What is your superpower?

My best superpower is the humble admission that I don’t have any superpowers.

What are you currently reading?

The Harmony of the Human Body: Musical Principles in Human Physiology by Armon Huseman.

Who is a fictional character that inspires you? Why?

I’ve always loved the main character of the young girl, Anne,  in Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery (1908).  Anne has an amazing indominable spirit, overcoming so many odds.  But never losing her imaginative feeling for Nature, ensouled play, literature and poetry, and innocent joy for life.  This is all despite her harsh social surroundings.

What is your favorite way to spend a Sunday?

In my garden or hiking in the Sierras.

What is the most unusual thing you own?

Someone once gave me an historic campaign button that says “Vote No on Women’s Suffrage.”  I keep it not because I agree with it, but to remind me that cultural beliefs – no matter how entrenched – can be transformed.

Where do you dream of traveling to? Why?

I have not yet traveled to Greece – and would love to go.  Not only to enjoy its natural beauty and culture, but also to dream into its Great Past –  the temples dedicated to Artemis, Athena, Asclepios, the Oracle of Delphi  and so much more.

When do you feel the most at peace?

In my daily mediation and prayer practice.

Words to live by?

These lyrics from Joni Mitchell:

We are stardust, we are golden
We are billion-year-old carbon
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden

The Flower Essence Society (FES) is an international membership organization of health practitioners, researchers, students, and others interested in deepening knowledge of flower essence therapy.
